What Is It That Mompreneurs Need?

Running a business while raising a family can be an extremely rewarding yet challenging path for many moms. Just ask Lara Galloway, The Mom Biz Coach. As a certified life and business coach and a mother of three kids under seven years of age, Lara has been managing the same challenges other mom entrepreneurs face.

“I found that many of the things I needed to be a successful business owner were the same challenges that were facing my clients. Things like more time, money management, quality child care, advice, a support network, good health and strong time management skills, just to name a few,” says Lara. “I’m not saying other entrepreneurs don’t have similar challenges, but with running a business and being a mother, the stakes are different and sometimes we can’t even pinpoint what it is that’s not working for us. My goal now as The Mom Biz Coach is to shorten the learning curve so that running a business and a family is no longer overwhelming,” she adds.

Ms. Galloway began to ponder how she could address these issues with her clients in a streamlined and efficient manner. The result is WoMEN: What Mom Entrepreneurs Need, a new teleseminar series focused on providing expert advice from others who have “been there and done that.” Along with Lara’s own coaching, the WoMEN series will include knowledgeable professionals that will cover a variety of issues — from business topics such as social networking and internet marketing strategies to family and marriage issues. The series consists of two conference calls each month, for about an hour per call. The sessions will also be recorded for availability on the mombizcoach.com website. Participants can ask questions directly of the experts or choose to just listen in. Further, at the end of each session, there will be special offers just for those that have participated on the call.

“The a-ha moments come when mom entrepreneurs realize they don’t have go it alone. They feel revitalized and excited to have direct access to new resources and support, which keeps them focused on balance and success,” says Lara. “Investing in this series will provide the participants with targeted professional advice that will keep both their business and their home life moving in the right direction,” she adds.
