Today phone business is booming more then ever in terms of so many different options of systems, features, phones themselves and more. Technology has found a way to make even the phone a high tech device that creates a more simple form of communicating at home or in your office. So should offices go cordless?

There are many cordless options for your office phone system such as an integrated PBX system, headset that allows you to move throughout the office and still take a call, connecting your cell phone to your office phone and more.

Another way to have “anywhere” access to your telephone system is to enable a ’soft phone’ which is basically a phone whose interface is accessible via a web browser or software on your computer, Microsoft and Cisco lead in this type of telephony integration. This system functions similar to Skype’s interface – instead of being Skype however its your full phone system on your computer.

Even if your company doesn’t have a full fledged phone system, there are still cordless options such as a virtual telephone like Ring Central or Gotvmail that sends inbound calls directly to your cell phone.

How has your office gone cordless?
