While management and the team below them are key factors in the customer world, that is not to say that the higher up officials of your company shouldn’t be involved in some way when it comes to your customers. Afterall, the high boss is benefited just as much as you are by those customers. So how do you convince your boss to pay attention to the customers?

Present them with some very startling data that pertains to what can happen when there is customer disconnect even between the big boss. Use some comparisons with some other companies that your’s and the boss admire, let them know how the admired company boss spends time with his customers.

Bring customers to them. What about sponsoring an event or showcase in which customers get to interact with decision-makers in the company in a meaningful way? Sealed Air corporation of New Jersey, for instance, sponsors a Bubble Wrap competition for young inventors which not only gets a lot of attention for the company’s flagship product but also has the side effect of getting managers directly involved with what customers are doing with the product.
