Talking shop with Stephanie Bloch and Michelle Forneris, owners of Baby Kakes. The company sells gorgeous diaper cakes handmade by Bloch as well as baby clothes and accessories. They have been in business since November.
“We’re moms so we try to make the diaper cakes practical and include useful items in the cake,” said Forneris. “Every single one is unique and at different price points so that people can afford them.”
How did you get the idea for Baby Kakes?
We’re friends and we’re stay-at-home moms. We each have two young children. We had seen diaper cakes and we thought it was a great gift idea. Then we thought why not expand and add products that will come in handy for the expectant mom.
