K-Bob’s Beats Industry Trend


Tinsley Hospitality Group LLC, franchisor of K-Bob’s steakhouse, posted a same store sales increase for K-Bob’s Steakhouse of 3.4 percent for the first quarter of 2009. With the inclusion of new restaurants, sales are up 16.4 percent over the same period in 2008.

The Santa Fe-based chain’s 15 country steakhouses are located in small towns in New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma and Colorado. K-Bob’s steakhouses recently rolled out the “gold rush” lunch time specials, priced at $6.99, and debuted a southwest fiesta menu on may 5, offering some recipes with Mexican flare.

Tinsley Hospitality Group celebrates its 43rd birthday in 2009, and is running ahead of the casual dining sector that is reporting an average of 5 percent declines in same store sales.
