On Saturday, May 16, fans of the unusually tasty and filling Moe’s Italian sub sandwich will be able to satisfy their addictions for the circa-1959 price of 45 cents.
The chain of 10 shops is celebrating its 50th birthday then and Cheryl Pagano, CEO of the company her grandfather started, wanted to do something special to commemorate the event.
From Sanford to Exeter, New Hampshire, to the flagship shop in Portsmouth, this Saturday could be crazy for Moe’s sandwich makers, with customers lined up out the doors. This is fine with Pagano, who vows the firm’s workers and franchisees will be making subs until “supplies run out.”
She adds that the special pricing is good for one whole original sub per person present. It’s a promotion that will be expensive, but Cheryl said is well worth it to honor her grandfather.
