Today in business rather than having one blog related to your company or a few blogs that you advertise on, more and more business owners are realizing that Brand related communities are the way to go for getting more traffic and business sent their way. But how do you create a truly great and solid brand community?

Open Forum recently posted an article on tips for building your brand community. Always start out by concentrating on the needs and wants of your customers, afterall they are the one’s you are trying to attract in the end of it all. Instead of creating more content that already exists regarding your brand, come up with way’s of helping your customers enjoy what is already out there on your brand.

Try to keep it simple. Just because there are 40 different features and 12 different sounds that can be added, doesn’t really mean you should add them all.

Don’t merely moderate. Creating advocacy is more than providing a place for consumers to congregate. If your primary job is deleting “f-bombs” and ‘keeping things clean’ you won’t inspire advocacy. Don’t be afraid to get deep into the dialogue.

How have you built a brand community?
