After 20 Years, Business Still Keeps Mom At Home
Twenty years ago, Mary A. Goehring faced a dilemma not uncommon in American households. The Bristol resident had to choose between continuing a “lucrative” 13-year career at Pratt & Whitney in Southington or taking care of a newborn daughter, Bria.
She chose the latter.
However, another challenge arose: how to contribute to household income.
Her quest eventually led to the launching of a home-based enterprise, Transcription Plus, LLC.
To mark the 20th anniversary of the company she founded and owns, a party was held Wednesday afternoon at the Clarion hotel and Gov. M. Jodi Rell proclaimed April 29 as Transcription Plus LLC Day in Connecticut.
