Most of us think of the Internal Revenue Service as the people who come after you if you don’t pay your taxes. But the IRS, under its mandate from the department of Treasury, also has many services to business taxpayers.

  • The IRS can provide you with a ton of information that is related to you starting your own business.
  • You do have rights as a tax payer and the IRS is there to help you with those rights and to help you through an audit.
  • If you’re looking to keep the taxes you pay to a bare minimum (as most of us are), the IRS can provide exact expenses that you are allowed to claim.
  • IRS can also help you with keeping records of your business and accounting information for those of you who need expertice in that area.
  • Probably one of the best thing’s the IRS can do for you is help make you aware of tax scams to avoid.

How have you found the IRS to be helpful?
