There are so many different ways of media coverage now a days that many people don’t even really think about radio interviews as one more way to obtain media coverage. A radio interview a lot of times is much cheaper media advertisement than many other forms of media coverage. Below are a few tips from Real You Incorporated to help make your radio interview work for you.

Do your homework, and get to know the station and its personalities. Learn their style, tone and audience. Are they jokesters, serious, down-to-earth? Listen to a few broadcasts. Most have a listen online feature.

Before the interview starts ask them for a copy of the interview that way it gets recorded and you can later put it on your website as a promotion or demo.

Make sure right off the bat you walk into the interview knowing for sure all of the main key points that you want to cover during this interview.

To put an extra sugar coating on at the end, send the hosts a thank you note afterwards letting them know it was a pleasure and that your willing to be their guest again in the future.
