Do you remember the Tupperware and Avon ladies at your door? Well, the time of direct sales is back and growing pretty rapidly. Do not be surprised if you start getting evites for product and service promotion parties from your friends and social network buddies. The creativity of direct sales is also changing rapidly. The products and services offered now through direct selling include candles, décor, lingerie, phones, aging products, vitamins and scrapbooking. I’ve highlighted a couple interesting companies at the bottom of this article that provide something other than Tupperware and makeup.
More and more women who have recently been affected by corporate layoffs have turned to direct sales to earn extra money or supplement income loss due to unemployment. They are turning to direct sales to bring in extra cash, from jewelry to cookware to candles, and even scrapbooking! They host parties and demonstrate their products and even recruit others to sell. This option is attractive when you consider some of the positive benefits of running a direct sales business such as Avon, Mary Kay, Tupperware or PhotoMax.
