Alicia and Michael Trotter, a sister and brother team from Detroit, are the newest franchisees to join the DetailXPerts family. “The glue that holds families together during these tough economic times is the Four F’s: Faith, Family, Finance and Franchise,” Williams said.
Alicia, 20, and Michael, 18, were introduced to DetailXPerts by their dad, Steven Trotter. It is an opportunity that Alicia says she has been looking forward to for some time. “Running my own business was something I’ve wanted to do since middle school, and now I’m doing just that,” Alicia said. With the current state of the economic climate in the country, Michael has a simple explanation as to the duo’s motivation for becoming a DetailXPerts franchisee. “We just want to be able to control our future,” Michael said. While Steven will help out with the green car wash business, he will remain in the background and allow his kids to shine.
Alicia and Michael will together focus on certifying their green car wash business as a minority-owned venture. They will also support Michigan’s green jobs initiative with future business plans of competing for governmental contracts. Alicia and Michael are still seeking a location for their new green car wash franchise, but they have already secured several clients through their mobile unit. These siblings plan to build an eco-friendly auto spa business rooted in high work ethics, dedication, and a commitment to customer service.
