“The expressions and excitement you get from people … especially the looks from new mothers in the hospital — can’t be beat,” Guketlov said. “On the same day that baby is born, we are bringing up personalized candy bars with her baby’s picture on the bars, and she is handing out the bars when the baby is only 6- or 7-hours old.”
Rosemary Guketlov, 44, is the owner, manager, worker bee and everything other position of Baby News, a service that creates and delivers personalized lawn signs, candy bars, magnets, stationery and other various merchandise to parents eager to announce the arrival of their new baby.
“When we deliver to the hospital, it’s almost always the first time the mother seen anything with the baby’s name or picture on it,” Guketlov said. “We have a very prompt service.”
The 13-year-old business is run out of Guketlov’s home in Spotswood, and all orders are shipped within 24 hours the order is put in, Guketlov said.
“If someone has a baby, they want their order right away,” Guketlov said. “They want to instantly put the stork on their front lawn to let the neighbors know that they had the baby.’

Wow, she is fast! Getting the candybar wrappers printed up and brought to the new parents within hours of the birth is quite an accomplishment on it’s own.

Announcing a baby whether it is your first or third is a very big deal! Everyone wants the whole world to know that their little bundle of joy has entered the world, it’s the greatest joy a parent has. This business is great and i’m sure bring’s so much joy to every parents life as they welcome their new baby in style with these products! Good for her!
