Niche Biz: Bella Umbrella
Weddings aren’t easy, particularly if you want an event that’s both unique and personal.
Just ask Jodell Egbert, who came up with an elegant (and marketable) solution to the problem of getting married in rainy Seattle.
Eschewing the traditional white tent, she bought a collection of colorful vintage umbrellas for her guests and then handed them out as favors.
In 2002, Egbert launched her business, Bella Umbrella, which rents and sells umbrellas to like-minded brides.

That’s a pretty cool idea, I have heard that it rains some ridiculous amount in seattle, and this would be a colorful and cool way to get around that. Theres just still the notion of it’s bad luck for it to rain on your wedding day, if only we could get around that one some how.
