What if the Government Ran the Restaurants?

What if going to the doctor was like going to the DMV or Post Office? Here’s a great video about the pitfalls of government run healthcare.

  • That video is exactly right!

  • If only more people could see this and realize the direction the USA is going, maybe we could turn this monster in the closet away, but it takes people who are not afraid to Stand Up. I’m proud and thankful you’re one of those individuals willing to stand up. I certainly hope there are hundreds of millions just like us. Maybe then America still has a chance.

  • I’m italian.
Government health care is exactly like this.
The only difference here is that the government, after years of incompetent management, returned part of the health care under private management.
Not pretty, not efficient, not inexpensive.

  • I’ve worked for two government agencies as a temporary employee: the National Park Service and Social Security. The employees at both agencies were competent and at least at the level I was at, I found the management to be quite good. My kids were covered under a government-run child health plan program for several years. Under my private insurer, I paid $110.00 for two prescriptions last month for my asthmatic son. Under the government plan, they would have been free or cost me $3.00. The government runs some things quite well.

  • I can see where government controlled healthcare would not be a favorable situation. Yes we want to make sure everyone has the healthcare that they need and best suites them, but to have it government controlled i believe is the wrong way to go. Many people need lower levels of health care while others need the top of the line health care, which i don’t forsee being the case if it is government controlled.
