What is a candle that has no wick? It is probably a Scentsy candle! Unlike the traditional candle, wickless candles don’t need a flame to burn the wax and they are smoke-free.

It has been one and a half years since Sherri Burton joined as a consultant with Scentsy. Since then she has seen nothing but growth with the company, including her ascent into director status earlier this year.

Tell us a little about Scentsy.

Congratulations on making it to Director status! What did you have to do to reach that level?

Thank you! It took me about a year to reach the Director level. I shared my passion and enthusiasm about Scentsy to everyone, especially mothers who were struggling to find that stay at home opportunity to be home with their children. I stayed focused on recruiting and building my team and I offer the Scentsy opportunity to everyone I meet.

What lessons have you taken from the year and a half you have been with the company?

Be who you are, share your passion, and your enthusiasm will be contagious. Those who are drawn to you will want to know you more. Don’t sacrifice YOU to get somewhere. “Sales is simply a conversation of sharing your passions with others.

What goals do you hope to accomplish before your 2nd anniversary? What are some of your long-term goals?

I’m just going to stay focused on Recruiting and Setting Goals. Being a great Team leader, Mentor and keep challenging and motivating my Team.

My long-term goal is to be a Superstar Director and be able to share my success stories with others and work on becoming a motivational speaker.
