Trio Of Mompreneurs Hosting Get-It-Done Workshops

PR.com:

Running a business while raising a family can be an extremely rewarding yet challenging path for many moms. Just ask Lara Galloway, Mary Hickman and Melissa Lierman. With eight kids under 10 between them and successful individual businesses, they manage many of the same challenges other mom entrepreneurs face.

“We found that we are constantly stressed for time, so we’ve become quite savvy at using web-based tools to push and grow our businesses using the Internet. The reach and networking benefits are exponential,” says Melissa Lierman, a web consultant and owner of timeoutmom.com, an online store.

“Yet we’ve learned many of our fellow mom business owners are not using these online tools. Managing both family and business, there is not a lot of down time for them to research and apply the latest tools out there,” says Mary Hickman of MHK Marketing Group in Royal Oak, Michigan.

Enter the Mom: Grow Your Business Workshop Series. The three “mompreneurs” decided to start a series of workshops ideal for moms in business.

“Our workshops are hands-on and focused on “getting it done” during the workshop time. The workshops are presented in two segments – an intensive hands-on workshop right here in Metro Detroit Michigan. This is followed up with a web-based teleclass the next evening that allows participants to maximize their time learning the new tool, from the comfort of their own home. Participants will also network with other mompreneurs and receive on-site mentoring, coaching, and suggestions specific to their business,” says Lara Galloway, the Mom Biz Coach.

Initial workshop topics range from Twitter to e-mail marketing to blogs to podcasting and SEO work. The first workshop, Using Twitter to Grow Your Business, is scheduled for Tuesday September 29, 2009 from 9:30am-12:30pm at the Red Run Golf Club of Royal Oak, Michigan. Tickets are $59 and must be purchased in advance at www.momgrowyourbusiness.com.
