Amway Has Launched Fruit & Veggie Products

Direct selling consumer goods player Amway India Enterprise on Tuesday launched a range of concentrated fruits and vegetable products, and announced its foray into the deodorant segment by introducing two variants for men and women.

Pointing out that nutrition and wellness category contributes over 50 per cent of Amway India’s turnover, the company’s Vice-President Mr Yoginder Singh said the ‘Nutrilite Concentrated Fruits and Vegetables’ is designed for urban health conscious Indian keeping in mind the need for bridging the gap of fruits and vegetables in their hectic lifestyle and diet.

He said the product is backed by extensive research on fruits and vegetables like tomato, apple, spinach, raspberries, oranges and green tea. “Despite being the largest fruit and vegetable producer in the world, the per capita consumption of fruits and v egetables in India is the lowest in the world. The nutrition industry has huge potential in urban India,” Mr Singh said, adding the vitamin and dietary supplement market in the country is poised to grow by 33 per cent by 2013.
