“All our Service Brands home-services franchise concepts–Protect Painters, Molly Maid, Mr. Handyman and 1-800-DryClean–are thriving even in this recession economy, and we are immensely pleased with the interest in our Protect brand,” said Roberts. “Dan and Amanda Schaeffer from Austin, Texas, exemplify the quality of franchisees we’ve brought into the system.”

Dan earned his MBA from the University of Texas, and worked in foodservice for several years before the experience spoiled his taste for corporate America. He couldn’t wait to emigrate to a new world of franchising. After Dan graduated, Amanda went to law school, and for the past few years served as a law clerk for the Chief Justice of the Texas Supreme Court. With Dan securely situated in his home office managing painting crews, Amanda has started a new career as a staff attorney for the Court of Appeals.
