Aussie Mom Declares Tupper-WAR

Gold Coast:

TUPPERWARE mum Debbie Hert says she will not stop meeting clients at her Robina home or sack her only employee to avoid more than $10,000 in council fees.

Ms Hert faces the huge cost after neighbours complained to the Gold Coast City Council about the impact her home business was having on the street.

The council is offering an ‘olive branch’ to erase the fees if she slims down her enterprise, which provides her with a $200,000 annual income.

But Ms Hert said yesterday she would not back down because she was not doing anything different from other Tupperware mums.

Instead she threatened to take her fight further, including to Premier Anna Bligh.

Tupperware officials have confirmed this is the first case they are aware of in which a home distributor has been targeted by council.
