Subway Celebrates A Decade In Scotland

The Franchise Magazine:

Sandwich retail franchisor Subway brought a taste of the Caribbean to Scotland in July to celebrate 10 years of operations in the country. The company held a 10th birthday party in Glasgow’s George Square, with a lunchtime performance from the Subway Reggae Reggae Steel Band and a game card competition to win a holiday to Jamaica, music and clothes vouchers, reggae reggae cookbooks and thousands of Subway food and drink prizes.

The reggae theme was in recognition of the return of the chain’s Reggae Reggae Chicken Sub, which uses Dragon’s Den entrepreneur Levi Roots’ spicy sauce. The product will be available across Subway’s 138 Scottish locations, which are operated by 45 franchise owners, employ around 1,700 staff and generate approximately £9 million in annual turnover.
