Krispy Kreme To Open First Shanghai Location

Examiner.com:

American doughnut chain Krispy Kreme is set to open its first location in Shanghai on Dec. 11. The store is on WuJiang Road. The company said that the store will offer 16 varieties of Krispy Kreme doughnuts that will be made fresh daily, including the hot Original Glazed doughnut.

Krispy Kreme previously opened locations in Hong Kong and Shenzhen, although several of the Hong Kong stores closed within a few months of opening because the franchisee went into liquidation.

Based on a secret French doughnut recipe, Krispy Kreme was founded in 1937 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The company can be found in approximately 550 locations around the world.
