Hard at work polishing off her cup of ice cream, 6-year-old Bella Braat of North Olmsted, summed up her opinion of Mitchell’s Homemade in three words, “I love it,†she said.
Asked whether she had a favorite flavor, she said, “all of them except coffee and coconut.â€
Bella wasn’t the only one enjoying herself at Mitchell’s last Sunday. Folks young and old came out in droves to take advantage of the $1 scoops that brothers, Pete and Mike Mitchell were offering in celebration of their 10th anniversary in business.
Proceeds from the sales were split between two local charities.
The Westlake location where it all started 10 years ago was rockin’ from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. In addition to the $1 scoops, team members meandered throughout the store offering free Mike and Pete Mitchell has seen the business grow steadily.samples in a variety of flavors.
