House prices are likely to continue to rise in the New Year, according to the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors – speaking at The Negotiator Magazine’s recent Thriving not Surviving conference in Manchester, RICS senior economist Brigid O’Leary, says: “Over the long term, inadequate supply remains a key concern for the housing market and, all else equal, suggests that upward price pressures will remain an issue because of inadequate housing supply to meet population demands…”
O’Leary was one of a range of industry experts drafted in to give delegates an insight into the skills required to survive and thrive during what looks set to be another challenging year in 2010.
