Are You A Shopaholic?
Most of us have done it at one point or another …You see something in a store that you just HAVE to have and no matter what. And no matter if you can afford it or not, and you buy it.
The consequences, and the charge to your credit card, will be dealt with later. Much later, reports The Chicago Tribune.
Addiction experts label compulsive shopping and spending as a serious disease that can cost the afflicted their relationships, jobs, homes and other prized possessions, all the while racking up massive debts, usually on high-interest credit cards.
Here are some signs and symptoms of compulsive shopping and spending:
1. Breaking Your Budget
2. Compulsive Buying
3. Chronic Problem
4. Hiding the Problem
5. The Return Cycle
6. Impaired Relationships

I would call myself a shopaholic but not to that extreme (and I promise I’m not in denial). I love to shop and I’m just as excited to pick up a few groceries as I would be to pick up some semi-expensive gadget. Thankfully I haven’t had much problem with staying within my own budget though. It probably helps that I don’t have a credit card. However I will admit to being compulsive on occasion but my bills are always paid first. :-)
Going by the list above it sounds like an addiction to shopping ranks right up there with someone who can’t stop gambling.
