Brewberrys Hospitality Pvt Ltd (BbH), which operates the Brewberrys chain of cafes in India, plans to increase its footprint by over 200 per cent in the coming months. The Vadodara-based cafe chain is banking on the franchisee model to gain further scale and depth in its operations, according to Reji Thomas of JenJon Retail & Services Private Limited, the master franchiser for Brewberrys.
The four-year-old cafe chain presently operates outlets at 16 locations in Vadodara, Ahmedabad, Surat, Indore, Bangalore, Thiruvananthapuram and Bhopal.
â€œWe were looking to add at least 50 stores by the end of 2010; that said, we also seem to have underestimated our potential.
We are looking at a country where the cafe habit is fast picking up, even in places like Ranchi and Bhopal. Maharashtra alone should have 20 Brewberrys outlets by the end of 2010,â€ Thomas said.
