Hossein Esfandiari, a former Philly Connection team member, knows a little something about the restaurant business, and now he’s putting that experience to work in not one, but two new food ventures.
Esfandiari has opened a Philly Connection restaurant in Dunwoody, Ga., the company’s first in Dunwoody. The restaurant also has a Luigi’s Pizzeria and is located at 2230 Cotillion Drive. During two years as a franchise operations consultant to Philly Connection, Esfandiari says he learned lifelong business lessons as well as the ins and outs of running a successful restaurant.
“At Philly Connection I learned a lot about restaurant operations. Like any restaurateur, I had to juggle many responsibilities, and I coached franchisees and their team members on operations, marketing and company standards,†he says. Esfandiari also has experience in managing pizza restaurants, which will prove beneficial to operating the Luigi’s Pizzeria, he adds.
The Dunwoody restaurant marks Philly Connection’s first co-branded venture. John Pollock, founder and senior vice president of franchisor The Philly Franchising Co., says the partnership makes a lot of economic sense in today’s times.
