Nation’s Largest Dairy Queen Grill & Chill Set For BN

Bloomington Pantagraph:

The nation’s largest Dairy Queen Grill & Chill restaurant will open in Bloomington next spring.

The eatery, 411 N. Veterans Parkway, will be located on a 1-acre outlot at the corner of Eastland Drive and Veterans Parkway that was purchased from the owners of Cub Foods.

“It’s pretty slick really. It’s a neat design,” co-owner Wendell Bradley said of the 5,000-square-foot restaurant. Bradley and his wife own four other Dairy Queens, including the Normal location.

The Grill & Chill concept is Dairy Queen’s new, upscale eatery design. For example, the Bloomington location will include a fireplace and flat-screen televisions in the 140-seat dining room, and two fireplaces and heat on the patio, which will seat 40.
