Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf has opened its third location in Austin, Texas, and the COO of the franchise says it’s only the beginning of the brand’s growth there.
The third Austin location of the tea and coffee cafe opened Saturday, Dec. 12, in the Hancock Shopping Center on 41st Street. It joined two other existing locations on Lamar Boulevard (one North, one South), opened earlier this year.
All are owned by Nolan Ryan, the well-known former professional baseball player. Lone Star Bean manages the Austin franchise on Ryan’s behalf.
Lone Star Bean COO Bill Duffy told World Tea News that Ryan’s sons, entrepreneurs Reed and Reese Ryan, “fell in love with” the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf brand during travels to the West Coast. It took a while for them to approach the company about franchising, and another 15 months for a deal to be sealed. More.
