Inventor Creates Coke-Powered Mobile Phone
A Chinese woman claims she has invented a method for powering mobile phones with cans of soft drink Coca-Cola.
Daizi Zheng told Sky News her method relies on powering devices with Coca-Cola used to charge “green” batteries which are more environmentally friendly than lithium alternatives.
The concept is using bio battery … to create a pollution-free environment,” she said. “By using bio battery as the power source of the phone, it only needs a pack of sugary drink and it generates water and oxygen while the battery dies out,” she said.
Zheng claims the phone can run three-to-four times longer than normal batteries, and is completely biodegradable. After originally designing the batteries for Nokia, Zheng claims the company passed on the idea as it was “too futuristic”.

That’s brilliant! It’s good to see how all kinds of different inventions are created to be more green-friendly, it surely helps to cut down the cost of electricity by replacing them with biodegradable Battery.

If this is true, being able to charge a cell phone by a can of coke, that would be cool. However, i don’t know how well people are going to trust the fact of pouring a can of coke anywhere near their very expensive phone. Not to mention then this brings about the fact that you have to buy cases of pop now to keep in the house for each individual who has a cell phone, which could be exspensive depending on how many members with phones you have in your family.
