“Bun Lady” Shares Recipe To Her Success
Known to many as the “bun lady”, Cordia Harrington isn’t afraid of becoming the butt of any joke. If you need proof, the prosthetic behind attached to the back of her suit at the Women Entrepreneurs Inspire Conference on Tuesday says it all, reports NewsOK.com.
“That’s how I got my nickname,” she exclaimed to erupting laughter.
Harrington’s success was baked up in 1996, when the former McDonald’s restaurant owner founded the Tennessee Bun Co. in Nashville.
Producing 1,000 buns a minute, her company supplies buns to restaurants such as McDonald’s, Chili’s and Pepperidge Farm. She also owns a packaging facility, full-service bakery and trucking company to support her bun businesses.
Harrington said she started three of her businesses during a recession. It took lots of work, backing by bankers and a bit of luck to achieve success.
“I’m here to tell you, so what (if) we’re in a recession? It’s time for you to step out and live a dream,” she said.

There is no time like the present! Truly, estates and wealth are built during a recession. http://bit.ly/6tgAwq

I couldn’t agree more. With a little bit of hard work and luck, success can come out of a recession. I think recessions spark more new ideas than when things are “comfortable” for the economy.

It’s entrepreneurs that are leading the rebound of this market. It all comes down to risk-return… and in trade of the enormous risk that capitalizing a business in this market poses comes the return of an amazing opportunity like this one.
I believe that those most willing to take this risk are young kids who have nothing to loose! In fact, a local radio station is hosting some very young entrepreneurs next Friday (April 9) from 3 to 6pm to talk about their business adventures. It can be heard via http://www.TAEradio.com... thought it may be of interest to these readers…
