‘Undercover Boss’ Meeting Leads To New Store

The American dream has been a draw for millions of immigrants for more than a century. A Dallas man is living out his dream after getting a big boost from a CBS reality show.

Just a few moments with Igor Finkler, one of 7-Eleven‘s newest owners, and you can tell his store in Richardson is going to be different. That’s because Finkler’s story and how he became a franchisee is also different.

“In Russia I used to be an electrical engineer,” says Finkler. He immigrated from Kazakstan to the US in 1994. Moving to Dallas five years later he became a clerk and then a delivery driver for the Dallas-based convenience store chain. Continue reading this story.
