Business has been fantastic in the first week of trading according to bosses at Leighton’s newest national chain, Subway – and they think Leighton people are “tremendous”.
The shop opened last Monday in the High Street and it would seem Leighton and Linslade people have been hungry for distinctive Subway sandwiches with queues reaching the door most lunchtimes.
Twelve jobs have already been created already for Leighton people and the total staff could be 20 when evening trading times are established. More than 250 people applied for the initial positions.
