Margaritaville is the leading and most recognizable “escape lifestyle” brand in the United States. Established 25 years ago, this authentic tropical concept has been successfully extended into restaurants, retail, consumer goods, hotels and radio. While Key West is the original location where it all began, Las Vegas has the distinction of being the highest producing location. Margaritaville Las Vegas grosses more than US$40 million per year in the 3-story, 3,658 sq. meter restaurant, bar and retail store located on the famous Las Vegas Strip at the Flamingo Hotel and Casino.
On November 18 2010, Margaritaville CEO John Cohlan will participate in the Adam Smith Conference for this year’s 9th Annual Russian Food & Beverage Forum in Moscow where he will join other global food and beverage industry executives. Cohlan plans to expand the Margaritaville Brand through franchising in Russia. London is also a target market for future development.
Inspired by the lyrics and lifestyle of Jimmy Buffett, whose evocative songs inspire a cross-generational yearning for an island adventure; Margaritaville transports its customers to an island state of mind, regardless of their current latitude or cultural reference point.
Margaritaville restaurants have 10 domestic locations in the United States and 10 international locations in the Caribbean, Mexico and Canada. A new venture is in development with the International Meal Company Holdings S.A. (IMC) for locations at the San Juan Luis Munoz Marin International Airport in Puerto Rico and the Tocumen Panama International Airport in Panama. Additional sites are being considered in South America.
