Springfield’s second BUFFALO WILD WINGS GRILL & BAR
opens today, and the first 100 customers will win free chicken wings for a year.
Opening time is 11 a.m. Expect a line to form at the business, 2808 N. Dirksen Parkway, just north of Big R.
The franchisee is the Cekander Group of East Peoria, which runs the city’s other Buffalo Wild Wings at 4420 Wabash Ave. and seven others in central Illinois.
Buffalo Wild Wings — sometimes called B-Dubs — is a sports bar with traditional and boneless wings and 14 sauce flavors. There are burgers, chicken and pork sandwiches, wraps, ribs, shrimp, salads, sides, starters, desserts and a kids’ menu, plus a full bar and specialty drinks.
Doug Cekander said the new restaurant will sport the company’s updated decor, along with dozens of big-screen TVs and interactive trivia. There is seating for 210 and an outdoor patio.
“The staff has been training all week,†he said.
