When work now under way
at the Clear Lake Avenue McDonald’s is finished around March 1, it should look like the Jefferson Street McDonald’s that was newly constructed in 2008.
“This is kind of a pilot program with McDonald’s Corporation. What we’re doing is re-imaging the store,†said franchisee Rick McGraw of McGraw Enterprises, which runs nine McDonald’s in this area.
The decor of the restaurant at 522 W. Jefferson St. is contemporary, with clean lines and muted colors, brought out through the use of stone, wood and glass. There are pendant lights and cafe tables, reminiscent of a coffeehouse.
