Sadly, I am not surprised. I have seen the waste I build up in my home alone! For what it is worth, one way to help cut back on the waste is to use decorative boxes only for in-home gifts. When everyone is done opening their presents, the boxes can be folded back up and stored away for next year. Admittedly it is no replacement for ripping off wrapping paper but it helps.
