Cupcake Bar Seeking Franchisee That Will Maintain Quality, Identity

Jill Segal opened Jilly’s Cupcake Bar & Café on Delmar Boulevard just over three years ago with the help of friends and family investors. With a growing national appetite for individual desserts, Segal decided to perfect the quality of her half-pound “killer tasting cupcakes” before expanding Jilly’s operations, which brought in more than $1 million in sales last year.

“I wanted to do better than that,” said Segal, the cupcake bar’s sole owner. “Using ingredients like real cream cheese and real dulche de leche is what’s made us so successful.”

Now, Segal wants to find a local investor “who cares about the brand and wants to grow the business” to open a Jilly’s franchise location within a five-hour drive. Read full story.
