Biggby Coffee may be making a comeback to Fenton.
Franchisees Kris and Kent Kildea of Williamston want to open a drive-thru shop in downtown Fenton.
But before the store becomes a reality, it’ll have to go to the city’s planning commission for approval.
“We liked the town, the look, the feel,†Kris Kildea said about Fenton.
In 2008, the East Lansing-based franchise opened a store on Owen Road, but closed not long after its opening.
Kildea said the Biggby outlet that closed in Fenton, had different owners. She blamed the closing internal problems, not a lack of interest in the city.
Biggby Project Coordinator Austin Long y said the shop could open at the proposed 235 N. Leroy Street location as soon as late May.
