Master-Franchisee Deal Signed With Dunkin’ Donuts: Ajay Kaul, Jubilant

Dunkin’ Donuts, Starbucks’ biggest competitor in the US, is in talks to enter India through a franchisee deal with Jubilant Foodworks . ET Now catches up with Ajay Kaul, CEO and Whole Time Director, Jubilant Food Works for more details on the tie-up.

One more feather in the cap. What does this for the outlay. How many stores or in per se what kind of new products do you add to your existing stores, how does it shape up?
Ajay Kaul
: This is a master franchisee agreement which we have with Dunkin’ Donuts which as you may be aware is the leading baked goods and coffee company in the whole world and mind you it is also the fastest last in 2010 it was the fastest growing QSR brand in the whole world. What Dunkin’ Donuts brings along with itself is a wide array of food and we realise that food was the large opportunity in India as opposed to anything else. All-day part food and that is what it is going to focus on but along with that also coffee it is “America’s favourite coffee” is their punch line so they are very big in the US and even other parts of the world so and other beverages.
