Franchisee Opens Her Second Tasti D-Lite Location, First In Boca

Sun-Sentinel:

With a Boynton Beach location under her belt, Robyn Vescovi has opened a Tasti D-Lite in the Shops at Boca Center.

The dessert parlor with a few colorful tables inside and outdoor seating has opened quietly, with a grand opening set for mid-April. It’s on the Morton’s steakhouse end of the upscale shopping plaza on Military Trail just north of Palmetto Park Road. They’re feeling their way with store hours and will start out 12:30 to 10 p.m. weekdays and to 11:30 on weekends through Friday. New hours will be posted on the door.

Please…don’t call the product ice cream or frozen yogurt, it’s neither. Billed as a frozen dessert, it’s lower in calories, carbs and sugar, just the thing for weight-conscious Boca Ratonians. There are no artificial sweeteners, and it’s safe for the lactose intolerant. Some 85 of the 120 flavors are between 70 and 80 calories for a 4-ounce serving, and most are gluten free, Vescovi said.
