Weird Dating Site: FindYourFaceMate.com
I’m not sure if this is a joke, but a new dating site that is set to launch later this month disagrees with the notion that opposites attract. Findyourfacemate.com (website not up yet) is banking on sameness being the root of attraction. The site will help you find a date that look’s similar to you.
According NY Magazine, “Findyourfacemate.com is powered by facial-recognition technology developed by Face.com, which zeros in on nine points on each face—the eyes, ears, nose, chin, and the corners and center of the mouth—to find similarities.”
What’s next, a website that suggests pets based on your looks
? I think that might be even more popular.

Haha I like the idea for finding pets this way!
One thing though – not defending the still-not-working web-site you refer to, but rather the concept.
There are several studies on compatibility matching based on facial recognition and there has also been a web-site for quite awhile, which is the first to do this kind of matching and which ActuallY works.
So don’t give up on the idea. If you are still sceptical – check the web-site, they also have some research info on the page. Plus it’s quite fun as well as free.
As for dating ‘yourself’, the idea is actually a bit different. The research shows that we are attracted to the same traits in another person, so it reads the face but also what is behind the face… So if u get a higher result from the calculations, u have more similar traits and the chances to be in a longer stronger relationship with this person are higher. (Again, I’m talking about this website http://www.Soul2Match.com and not the mentioned)
