CUTCO Cutlery Renews Support of Go Red For Women

Marketwire:

While strides have been made, heart disease remains the number one killer of women and men today. That’s why CUTCO Cutlery Corp. is extending its commitment to the American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women® movement for another year.

Since February 2007, the kitchen cutlery company has donated over $600,000 to Go Red For Women. In the last year alone, CUTCO donated $192,000, topping its initial goal of $100,000. The money was raised through a $75,000 corporate donation and additional $117,000 from a 10-percent donation from the sales of exclusive four-piece red table knife sets and red super shears.

“We truly take this cause to heart,” said Steve Pokrzyk, director of marketing for Vector Marketing, the exclusive marketer of CUTCO Cutlery. “Heart disease is the number one killer of women, but it can be prevented and Go Red For Women has made great progress in getting women to think about prevention.”

To help Go Red For Women continue its fight against heart disease and help raise awareness of the number one killer of women, CUTCO is extending its commitment through Feb. 28, 2012.

Between March 1, 2011, and February 28, 2012, CUTCO will donate $75,000 to the American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women movement, plus an additional donation of 10 percent of the purchase price of every 4-Pc. Red Table Knife Sets and Red Super Shears sold, for a minimum donation of $100,000.
