Go Into Franchising, Bizmen Urged

The organizers of the first Nego Franchise Expo 2011 in Western Visayas said they hope to encourage local entrepreneurs, especially the Overseas Filipino Workers, to engage in franchising.

The four-day trade fair with the theme “Learn and Experience New Business Trends in Franchising,” opened yesterday at SM City-Bacolod and will run until Sunday.

Philippine franchising guru Armando Bartolome yesterday said they decided to hold the event in Bacolod because they saw a lot of potential in the city, having visited it several times.

“There are a lot of business concepts around which, if given a chance, can become franchisors, not only locally, but internationally,” he said. Read more.
