The organizers of the first Nego Franchise Expo 2011 in Western Visayas said they hope to encourage local entrepreneurs, especially the Overseas Filipino Workers, to engage in franchising.
The four-day trade fair with the theme “Learn and Experience New Business Trends in Franchising,†opened yesterday at SM City-Bacolod and will run until Sunday.
Philippine franchising guru Armando Bartolome yesterday said they decided to hold the event in Bacolod because they saw a lot of potential in the city, having visited it several times.
“There are a lot of business concepts around which, if given a chance, can become franchisors, not only locally, but internationally,†he said. Read more.
