Planet Fitness plans to open a nearly 20,000-square-foot fitness facility in early April at 2302 W. 86th St., the site of a former CVS drugstore.
Franchisee Robert Baker, Colts Neck, N.J., said it might be open 24 hours a day.
Construction costs top $1.5 million.
Baker’s son Alex, a recent college graduate, will be the assistant manager. He has begun selling memberships in a sales office at the site.
