Krispy Kreme Still In Works For Madison, Franchisee Says

Madison.com:

Yes, Virginia, there will be a Krispy Kreme store here.

Maybe even this year.

It’s a promise.

So says Lincoln Spoor, owner of Westward Dough, which became the franchisee for Wisconsin, Minnesota and Colorado with its $10 million acquisition of bankrupt Glazed Investments on March 31.

Madison, Spoor said, is “ground zero” for Westward Dough, which is based in Las Vegas and also is the franchisee for Nevada, Utah, Idaho, Wyoming and Montana.

“It’s got a good-sized population,” Spoor said of Madison. “The college is there. It’s high energy. They like good food. It’s one of our top priority locations.”
