Metro Diner is opening its second restaurant next week. And while its owners deal with business that has doubled since being featured on national television, they have their eyes on more: They’re going to start franchising.
And they’re already negotiating with their first potential franchisee, an investment group that wants to put a Metro Diner at the Beaches.
“I think we want to see the concept expand,” co-owner John Davoli said. “We’re opening our second company store and the financial burden, it took a lot for us to do this.
“But if a franchise is done right where you’ve got total quality control, it’s a good thing for everybody. Everybody wins and your brand grows.”
