How do you sell a luxury home in a down market? The same way you sell anything: you sell the benefits, and not the features.

The 4,250-square-foot, 14-room home sits on a half-acre lot and features four bedrooms, 3.2 baths, a large screened-in porch with a chandelier, but it also has something that no other house can boast: the staircase sledded down by Macaulay Culkin in the 1990 film Home Alone.

That’s right, the Home Alone home is for sale. The red-brick home so bravely defended by Culkin can be yours for only $2.4 million.

Unfortunately, it’s not always easy money for homes with cinematic history:
