Korean Karate Master Chops it Up on eBay

The online auction site eBay is providing a global market for one-man businesses in Korea.

According to eBay, which boasts over 94 million active users, the total amount of goods it sold last year was $62 billion, more than $2,000 every second.

Cho Sung-hwan, a 35-year old karate master-turned-businessman, chalked up $150,000 in annual sales by selling taekwondo, karate, kendo and judo uniforms on eBay.

Cho, who runs a karate school during the day, and his uniform business, General Korea, after hours, said he came upon eBay in 2007 after a student recommended the Web site.
