Steve Jobs Steps Down
Apple is one of the big boys in the business world. So, when Steve Jobs steps down as CEO of the company, it is bound to grab the attention of everyone — customer and entrepreneur. TechCrunch recently shared his resignation.
To the Apple Board of Directors and the Apple Community:
I have always said if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple’s CEO, I would be the first to let you know. Unfortunately, that day has come.
I hereby resign as CEO of Apple. I would like to serve, if the Board sees fit, as Chairman of the Board, director and Apple employee.
As far as my successor goes, I strongly recommend that we execute our succession plan and name Tim Cook as CEO of Apple.
I believe Apple’s brightest and most innovative days are ahead of it. And I look forward to watching and contributing to its success in a new role.
I have made some of the best friends of my life at Apple, and I thank you all for the many years of being able to work alongside you.
Steve
Although he leaves the company as CEO, he remains as Chairman of the Board. What do you think this means for the future of Apple’s innovations?

If the stock market weren’t a giant casino operated by a sydicate, they’d have already reacted appropriately to this news. JOBS IS APPLE. Without Jobs, they will be another ‘also ran’ like they were when he was squeezed out the first time. Now Apple will be run by a bunch of corporate lifers who have no vision, creativity or charisma. Time to bail.

As a bright particular star in the business firmament, Mr. Jobs takes on his biggest opponent yet – the Big C. Yet he has lost none of his humor, savvy and cred. While I wish him well, there is no doubt whatever in my mind that his associates/staffers will take up the ball and run with it. He always encouraged people around him to think in unconventional ways; the ‘store’ is in good hands. Can there be any doubt Steve Jobs was, and IS still the Gold Standard for a New Age maven, Internet or otherwise?
